Symbiosis of culture and nature

A place full of history(s) in the middle of nature

A fairytale old town and the Harz National Park right in front of the door – Goslar is a very special travel destination. It is a rarity to find this many sights and natural monuments to be experienced in only one spot as Goslar.
The cultural center of the northern Harz Mountains is located in the midst of a unique low mountain range landscape and is therefore a three-fold World Heritage Site: not only the historic old town with its many half-timbered houses, but also the Harzer Wasserregal and the Rammelsberg mine are cultural monuments that are unique in the world.
This gives you the perfect conditions for hiking, discovering the cultural and natural treasures around Goslar, and spending wonderfully relaxing days in the most beautiful part of the Harz Mountains.

Do you love culture? Then Goslar is the place for you!

Lively, colorful, and cozy – you will be surprised at how diverse Goslar's cultural offerings are. Readings, theatre, guided tours, concerts, museums and galleries, unique sights, and historic half-timbered houses – there is no shortage of cultural highlights in this city.

Would you like recommendations from us? We would be happy to inform you about current cultural events.

Experience the Harz!

The unique cultural landscape around Goslar is a paradise for nature lovers. Our 4-star hotel is the perfect starting point for numerous excursions, e.g., to the historical water supply system, the Harzer Wasserregal, which is one of a kind worldwide. In 2010, the over 800-year-old, sophisticated water supply system with its many ponds was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and can be explored on 22 water hiking trails. According to UNESCO, the Rammelsberg ore mine is also of inestimable historical value and undoubtedly worth a visit.

Finally, there is the Harz National Park with its diverse mountain landscape, extensive forests, lakes, and picturesque streams. It is also right in front of our hotel. Incidentally, we recommend the “Goslar – experience nature” app, an interactive tour planner with lots of suggestions and hiking routes.
